The Board investigates complaints against LMBTs alleged to have violated North Carolina General Statute 90, Article 36, the North Carolina Massage and Bodywork Therapy Practice Act and North Carolina Administrative Code, Title 21, Chapter 30, the Rules and Regulations of the Board. If the Board determines that a LMBT has violated the statutes or rules, the Board may impose disciplinary action on the LMBT. The Board does not intervene in fee disputes nor does the Board have the authority to order monetary damages. If you have these concerns, you should consult an attorney.
